Terms of Service

1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and dartpilot ("we", "us"). By creating an account, joining a board, or using any other part of the service, you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use dartpilot for an organization or venue, you confirm that you can accept these terms on its behalf.
2. The service
dartpilot turns a standard bristle dartboard into a self-scoring board. The desktop app reads USB cameras and detects where each dart lands. Games run on our servers, so the web app and every connected screen need an internet connection to stay in sync. The web app holds games, scoreboards, ranked play, tournaments, and the campaign. 3. Accounts and eligibility
You need an account for features that store data, such as stats and rankings. Guests can play on a board without one. Provide accurate information, keep your sign-in method secure, and tell us if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for activity carried out with your credentials. You must be old enough to accept these terms where you live. If you are below that age, a parent or guardian must accept them for you.
4. Licence and acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose while these terms apply. You may not:
- copy, sell, rent, or resell the service or access to it;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the software, except where the law says you may;
- scrape data, overload the service, or get around rate limits or other protections;
- use the service for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive; or
- misrepresent who you are or interfere with another person's use of the service.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules or put the service or other users at risk.
5. Venues and commercial use
You may run dartpilot at a venue, club, or league under a venue plan. Commercial use without a plan is not allowed. Offering the service to paying guests as part of a business counts as commercial use.
6. Your content and your data
You keep ownership of the content you add, such as your display name and profile details. You give us the permission we need to host, run, and display that content as part of the service. Ourprivacy policy explains how we handle personal data. Do not upload content that breaks the law or infringes someone else's rights.
7. Fees
Some features are available on paid plans. If you buy a plan, the price, billing period, and cancellation terms shown at checkout apply, and a payment provider may process your payment on our behalf. We will tell you before any price change takes effect.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not promise it will always be available. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may take the service down for maintenance. We may also release desktop app updates from time to time. Keeping the app current matters for accuracy and security.
9. Intellectual property
The software, brand, and content we provide belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a right to use the service, not ownership of it. You may not use our name or logos without written permission.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, such as fitness for a particular purpose. Camera detection can occasionally miss or misread a dart, so treat the score as a helper rather than an official record.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
12. Termination
You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account from your profile. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we need to protect the service or other people. When your access ends, the licence in these terms ends too. Sections that should survive, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability, continue to apply.
13. Governing law and disputes
[Country] law governs these terms, excluding conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the mandatory law of your country. Before going to court, contact us so we can try to resolve the issue first.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
